The Somali Center for
voluntary Activities was created for the urgent need to promote a
culture of volunteerism among the Somali people and to their importance in
critical humanitarian conditions in which they live by the Somali people , the
center was set up in 2013 innitially and 2014 officially by some of Somali intellectuals.
In Arabic : المركز الصومالي للعمل التطوعي
It is abbreviated to: SOCVA.
The center is registered in the ministry of interior and national security as NGO works in development, education, training and humanitarian affairs.

Somalia's capital city is the headquarters , and it can be opened branch
offices in the different regions of the country and in the world also if it is
necessary to do so.
The areas of volunteer
Activities:
1. Disseminating the
culture of voluntary Activities among the different categories of Somali
society through the establishment of programs to volunteer .
2. The celebration of the
World Day for volunteer Activities - the fifth of December in every year.
3. The celebration of the
Arab Day for volunteer Activities - the fifteenth of September in every
year .
4. Interest in the deployment of Islamic
thought right, through the establishment and development of Holy Qur'an
centers.
5. Construction of
schools for the development of education in the country.
6. Ensure that the
children of poor families to attend schools .
7. The establishment of
professional and scientific centers .
